Project Management
TEKenable have built their reputation delivering innovative solutions and an integral part of this reputation is the capability to deliver quality solutions on time and within budget. TEKenable have very experienced Project Managers who use tried and trusted methodologies to develop a quality solution and ensure a smooth and successful delivery. Our Project Managers not only deliver solutions designed and built by TEKenable but they have been retained by our clients to manage the delivery of 'In house' projects, managing multiple teams to deliver complex solutions.
The management capability offered by TEKenable ranges from Project and Programme Management to Technical Management and Mentoring. We have ample credentials from and track records with such clients as Ulster Bank(Programme Management), IIB (Programme Management), Scottish Provident (Project Management), ABN Amro (Technical Management) etc.

Project Management & Project Methodology– Sequential Iterative Development (SID)
TEKenable have for the past 5 years embraced and successfully used the Sequential Iterative Development (SID) Methodology in all significant projects. It is important to note that experienced Programme/Project and Project Managers are required to deliver the SID methodology. SID has allowed TEKenable to deliver faster, more effectively and meet user expectations which is not the norm utilising traditional delivery methods.
Our methodology is the merging of the traditional Waterfall approach and the Rapid Application Development (RAD) methodologies, which have been refined over the past 10 years for projects concerned with high complexity and short time scales.
In SID, the Waterfall lifecycle and RAD lifecycle are mixed to bring out the critical functions by modeling and prototyping at each stage. The approach is to commence the project with a Business study (Analysis and Design) and a Technical framework definition (including prototype if appropriate). The Project is then divided into discreet development elements or development streams where a stream entails defining the Usability, Functional and Technical Design for each stream at the outset and construct the project through the release of each stream so that each new release extends the previous one.
The project progresses with overlapping streams which allows shorter delivery timescales. Work is divided within a stream release into smaller parts known as increments. Each increment can then be tested while the next increment is being developed this allows overlapping within streams, which can shorten the elapsed time between each release. Incremental deliveries are a confidence building issue and can radically shorten the time periods for delivery of critical functionality. Each partial delivery will also help the users familiarize themselves with particular aspects of the functionality and performance.
SID’s Concurrent development and incremental delivery is a powerful methodology for making sure the project delivers the required functionality within the required timescales. Our methodology enables a progressive system build and test to be conducted, spreading the load on the testing group and quality assurance, and getting early user approval. It also gets away from the "big-bang" phenomenon (a completely new system implemented in the business in one delivery), which is a very high-risk strategy in most organisations.
